Overview

Reward-E is developed by Invotek AS. We take your privacy seriously.

Free Version

The free version stores your family's data locally on your device. We don't collect or see the stars, children or goals you create.

Two things still leave your device on any plan: anything you write to us through in-app feedback, and, if you have turned on Usage Analytics in Settings, anonymous usage and crash reports. Both are described below.

Cloud Sync (Paid)

If you subscribe to Cloud Sync, your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud, EU servers). This enables backup and family sharing.

Legal basis: Processing is necessary for the performance of the subscription contract you have entered into with us (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

What We Collect

  • Apple ID or Google Account (authentication only)
  • Family name and children's first names
  • Star balances and transaction history

Feedback You Send Us

When you use the in-app feedback button, your message is sent to Cuti-E, our own support platform, which runs on Cloudflare in the EU. This happens on the free plan as well as the paid one.

Your message is read by two automated models to help us triage support: one scores whether the message sounds positive or negative, and one summarises it into a short feature-request title. No decision about you is made automatically, no reply is generated by a machine, and the models do not learn from your message. Please don't put anything sensitive in a feedback message.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in supporting and improving the app (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Usage Analytics and Crash Reports

These are off unless you turn them on under Settings › Privacy › Usage Analytics. When enabled, we receive anonymous usage events and crash diagnostics. Turning the setting off stops both.

Who We Share With

We don't sell your data and we don't show ads. We use a small number of processors to run the service:

  • Google Firebase — cloud sync and storage for paid plans (EU region)
  • Cloudflare — our website, and the Cuti-E feedback platform including its automated triage
  • RevenueCat — subscription and receipt management
  • Apple — sign-in, payments and app distribution

We don't share your data with anyone else.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — delete your account and all associated data via "Delete Account" in the app's Settings
  • Data portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing of your personal data in certain circumstances

Right to Complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe we are processing your personal data unlawfully.
